Our Commitment to Volunteers
Climbing Together Inc. is grateful for every person who gives their time to serve our neighbors. Please read this notice before you submit the Volunteer Signup Form. It explains what we ask of volunteers and how we protect your information.

About This Form
This form tells us you are interested in volunteering. It is not an offer of a volunteer role. After you submit it, we will contact you to talk about the role that fits you best.

Eligibility
Volunteers must be at least 18 years old. In-person roles serve Central Florida, and some roles can be done remotely.

Screening
Every volunteer completes screening based on their role. We contact the 2 references you provide and search public sexual offender registries. Some roles also require a Florida criminal history check or a fingerprint-based background check. Until Climbing Together has income, volunteers pay for their own background checks. We will tell you which checks your role requires before you begin.

Volunteer Agreement
Before your first shift, you will sign our Volunteer Agreement. It explains your role, confidentiality, boundaries with the people we serve, and the use of photos taken at our events.

Our Expectations
Your availability is flexible. Once you commit to a shift, we count on you to be there. If you cannot make it, please give at least 48 hours of notice. Repeated missed commitments may limit the shifts you can take or end your volunteer role.

No Employment
Volunteering is unpaid, and it does not create a job or a promise of future work.

Your Information
We use your information only to review your application, complete your screening, schedule your shifts, and communicate with you about volunteering. Screening results are kept in a restricted folder that only authorized leaders can open. We do not sell or rent your information. We share it only with the service providers who help us operate, or when the law requires it.

Emails and Text Messages
If you agree, we will send you emails and text messages about volunteering, such as confirmations, shift reminders, and updates. Message and data rates may apply, and message frequency varies. Reply STOP at any time to opt out or HELP for help. You do not have to agree in order to volunteer.
